Our mission statement.

"Affinity design and build" is born out of the conviction that the furniture industry has the potential and responsibility to drive change and display environmental stewardship.

We don't want to be a part of the disposable furniture revolution that is continuing to offer mass aesthetic short life choices.

We don't like the flat pack throw away when bored culture that drives bad eco across our planet. No, We don't want to be a part of that, we want to offer a different way. By building local collaborative supply chains for mutual profit and with the aim of a positive social and environmental outcome by delivering furniture that can last for decades.

Materials.

As a business, we consider the resources we deplete, the energy we consume, the waste we generate and the carbon we emit.

We use only the finest and most sought-after kiln dried timber slabs, painstakingly encasing them using safe, solvent free and non toxic, food safe resins. (Read more about our resin choices)  to enhance and preserve their natural beauty for generations.

We aim offer some of the finest resin-infused table tops in the world – truly unique centrepieces that will grab the attention of even the most discerning guests.

Using only quality sought after timber slabs, painstakingly prepared inorder to enhance and preserve their natural beauty for generations to come. Timber from carefully chosen suppliers.

The providence of the timber is also paramount – its age, where it was grown, when it was felled, and most importantly, how it has been seasoned.

PROTECTIVE CERAMIC COATING
Conventional resin tables scratch very easily as uncoated resin is not completely scratch proof, (to be fair not much really is) . To assist against accidental damage we give our tables the best protection we can buy using the very best ceramic coating suitable . This coating provides an invisible but incredibly durable protective layer, so you can use and enjoy the table without worrying about the surface scratching and staining too much.

Long life.

We install hidden steel stiffeners in every tabletop to further assist the prevention and control of timber movement. These are not ordinary stiffeners. They are specifically designed for our resin tables and will give confidence that your table will last for many generations.
